CASA Volunteer Training

Court Appointed Special Advocates are specially trained volunteers who are appointed by a judge to advocate for an abused, neglected or abandoned child.  Our program uses the 30+ hours National CASA training curriculum.  Call 283-2227 or email plumascasa@pcirc.com for more information.

FREE 12-week course! Being a Supportive 24/7 Dad

When it is offered this class runs for 16 weeks. You are welcome to join the class at any time. Children are more likely to use and abuse drugs when they grow up without an involved, responsible and committed father. Drugs and alcohol often serve as surrogates for children who experience lack of love and emotional connection from their fathers. Father absence creates mental health issues as well. Research reveals that within one to three months, the child of a father absent home experiences nightmares, sleeplessness and night terrors.
